I resumed today in Silithus with Sweed and we continued with the Deadly Venom quest for Stonelash Scorpions and Skitter Spiders, but we didnt manage to fully complete the quest. We instead worked on killing the large worms that inhabit the desolate wasteland, the Dredge Crushers for the quest, 'Stepping up Security' - the elves dont like having these dangerous worms roaming around the area so it was our job to clear them out! Extermination Time!!!
I helped Sweed to fight his way into a camp to get a recipe and then Sweed helped me to kill a small number of ghostly Elven Druids and Sentinels. Sweed was tired after all the fighting and a little freaked out that when the ghostly elves were killed alien insects emerged from them to continue the fight! Sweed HS to SW to sleep. I carried on and went to complete the quest in Valor's Rest, the graveyard near Un'Goro. I spent sometime killing some more monsters and then...
Ding Ding Ding Level 58 ;) Whoooo Hoooo! Outlands here I come! I had reached the required level that I would be allowed to travel through the Dark Portal.
I HS to SW immediately and jumped onto the gryphon for a flight to the Blasted Lands. I rode over to the portal and it was a special moment to step through the huge portal. Everything went dark and I felt a tingling and spinning sensation and forcefully ejected out into Outlands.
Commander Duron's job is to greet new arrivals and do some killing too of course!
Outlands looked amazing and scary too. I could see a huge monster directing a battle between its troops and the alliance troops! They seemed to be in a stalemate. I kept away from the fighting and took a gryphon near the portal to a place called Honor Hold. It was great to see the sights of Outland from the air. I had fun exploring Honor Hold and starting some basic quests. I also looked around outside the safety of Honor Hold's walls. I was exploring the entrance to a mine and I saw NecroSlayer (from the guild) and we worked together to complete a quest for him. Necro was kind enough to let me have a very good sword drop that I could use with my new shield that I had bought in preparation for Outland :) We finished killing Gan'arg Sappers in the mine in the hill under Honor Hold and I HS to SW and went to sleep!
It's been a tiring day but also a fantastic one too! Getting to Outland has been a goal that I have had for a long time now and so all the hard work has paid off in the end!
