Attention: Horse Special ;)

I went to the Stables in Menthil Harbour to have a look at the kinds of horses that I can buy when I reach Level 40 + and have my riding skill - it will be expensive. The cheapest horse is 9 Gold pieces and the riding skill is 81 Gold pieces so I got to save 90 Gold pieces in total - I am 1/3 of the way there. My favourite horse for 9 Gold is the Black Stallion :) or the chestnut mare - oh dear... decisions decisions ;)

Day 7: 27_02_2007

I woke up in StormWind in the Guilded Rose. I neatly made my bed and went off to the bank, weller's arsenal (for repairs) and everyday merchandise. I felt like I needed to improve my skills and so for the first time in a few months I went to visit my Warrior Trainer 'Lyria Du Luc' in GoldShire. I learnt Retaliation (which means I can get some cool glowing swords to spin around me for a while if I feel like it!) and something else which I have already forgotten :( I didn't spend too much though! Oh yes! It was a higher level of Sunder Armour which is way useful because I can make my targets more vunerable in battle ;)

I flew to LochModan and ran to the Stone Wrought Dam, near there I fought Mo 'grosh Ogre's, Brutes and Enforcer's for no XP and when I completed the quest and took it back to Thelsamar it was now only worth 25 silver and not the 75 silver I had originally been promised - rip off - but you can't fight the system!

I flew to Wetlands and took a boat to the Horde Island and the Alliance controlled Theramore. I handed in some quests and ran into DustWallow Marsh and completed more quests there and killed some hight level monsters for a bit of fun. After I finished I took the boat back to Menthil Harbour and flew to Iron Forge where I met Sweed and Sooper.

We flew back to Methil Habour and ran to Dun Modr - stopping in the countryside at Iron Beard's Tomb on the way - for 'shits and giggles!' as Sweed said! We fought Oozes inside.

At Dun Modr near Thandol Span we grouped with a warrior called ? and killed a dwarf mage called Balgaras the Foul - we had to cut off his ear and return it to prove he had been killed! I was hoping we could take back his pinkie finger but I was told no :( A goodly 3550 Xp for that quest so it was fun and well worth doing.

Sweed Levelled to 34 - Ding Ding Ding - Congratulations Sweed!!

We went to the Arathi Basin and waited 20 mins to enter the battlefield. It was a fun running battle between the alliance and horde troops but the horde won in the end :( I completed half my quest there and I didn't die too many times. I made about 5 kills but forgot to pick up the resources for money and group points but I know to now!

Sooper went to sleep and I continued on with Sweed. We were going to fight Warmonger Orges again but I couldn't get into Sweed's group so we teamed with MageDranei to go to NorthFold Manor and kill Highwaymen and Mercenaries. We were successful in the quest (2500 XP)

While we were at NorthFold we heard a cry from help that appeared to be coming from a nearby shed. Sweed rushed to help killing sydicate baddies. We saw that there were two dwarves standing near the shed who had been surrounded by baddies. The dwarves started to complain at Sweed. Apparently they had been trying to die as one of the dwarves had got himself wedged between the crude slats of the shed because he was too fat and he couldn't get out. They wanted to die so they could use the spirit healer to release them else where. I tried to help by challenging the stuck dwarf to a duel - I beat him senseless hoping that I could kill him and release him from his entrapment. I wailed on the dwarf but the duel only caused him extra suffering and no death. The dwarves eventually used their hearth stones to return to their homes! It was way funny!

We all decided to finish for the night and I went back to the Guilded Rose to sleep :)

Time Finished: 2am
Total Questing Time: 5 1/2 hours

Day 6: 26_02_07

This morning I started my part time job washing dishes in the kitchen of the Lion Pride Inn in Goldshire. I earn a few extra coppers but it is boring work and my hands looked like prunes after several hours! So I was happy when it was time to leave the Inn and go back to Storm Wind to start questing. I know a part time job isn't glamourous but a warrior has got to pay their way in the world and the cheese shop have just raised their prices on my favourite types of cheese! So working part time will do for now! Cool Beans ;)

I went to the Park in SW and looked around the Lunar Festival again and set off two free rockets I had picked up somewhere - pretty good light show! I am trying to collect coins of ancestory as part of my quests at the Lunar Festival. I used the Festival Invitation to teleport to Moonglade. I ran north and found Valadar StarSong in NightHaven. Then back to Moonglade. I worked out that there were different moonlights shining on different races I decided to teleport to Ironforge as I hadn't been there yet. I got there and talked to a dwarf and got a coin (4 now) I teleported back to Moonglade and then hearthed out to SW as it was taking too long!

I bumped into PaulDavid outside the Auction House. He suggested Scarlet Monastry but we ended up going to Uldaman - it was interesting to be going to see a new area :) I didn't know what to expect. A few others joined the group Sparticuss, Bryon and Mavedor. Before we went to Uldaman Paul showed me that there was a Level 70 Night Elf riding into SW on their mount. It was interesting to see the high level player - they seemed to be highly respected by the city guards and appeared to have an entourage of players around them plus many curious onlookers!

The Level 70 ('Avatar') was going to SW Keep and so we went there as well something appeared to be about to happen! We waited in the keep and could see the young 'stand in king' The level 70 player walked in and talked with the king and nobles. Someone read a scroll with dragon language on it and a huge purple dragon appeared in the center of the room, it appeared to call a huge loads of smaller dragon guards and they mobbed the level 70, the purple dragon disappeared. It looked like an intense fight. I ran over to help and got killed instantly - Paul David got in a few strikes and I think Bryon too ended up at the grave yard. It was very interesting to see the high level quest in action :)

We took the dwarf deep run tram to Ironforge and then flew to Loch Modan. There were some dwarfs around the entrance to the caves that had to be disposed off. The place seemed to be crawling with Troggs too! We went through some sandy underground tunnels and into the instance and entered the 'Hall of Keepers'. There were a lot of high level troggs inside and we often seemed to get hit by 4 to 6 at once it was quite intense. We got to a locked door PaulDavid opened it and it slowly opened green light flooding out from the room behind. Out of the room emerged a huge golden woman whose clothes looked vaguely egyptian. We had to battle hard to kill this boss! Her name was Ironaya - 40 Elite! After the kill Bryon had to leave and so we all hearthed out to SW.

I flew to Arathi Refugee Camp and joined Sweed and Sooper who had been fighting in the Arathi Basin Battle Ground (instance). Sooper went to sleep and PaulDavid joined us. Sweed and I fought in the battle ground for a short while. I killed two combat pets and died about 8 times myself. It was interesting fighting the others but many of the horde were lvl 40 so I didn't stand much of a chance! I got some kind of medal for participating in the fighting :)

We joined PaulDavid in Dunholde Keep and made some very easy kills for a few coppers. We ran through the forests of Hillsbrad and PaulDavid showed me the cummulation of the Warrior Quest. I have to go to Fray Island first to learn 'Beserker Stance'. As we ran through the forest to the North we came across a large dragon hovering in a clearing - it killed Sweed then flew away. The dragon was a 44 Elite!

We killed Baron Vardes in his encampment surrounded by high level assasins. The baron was a lvl 40 so he was quite tough. We kept hitting encampments until we got to a house. Inside was a large ogre called Nagaz - we managed to kill him but almost died upstairs where there were four tough looking fighters!

In Alterac Ruins we manged to kill around 8 Crushridge Warmongers for PaulDavid to finish his quest and ours was half completed. It wasn't too tough with the three of us working together!

Sweed went to sleep and so I hearthed back to SW and did some selling, banking and repairing before the shops and bank closed ;) I rushed to the Guilded Rose and dove into bed!

Time Finished: 3 am
Total Time Questing: 6 1/2 hrs

Day 5: 25_02_07

Another fun packed day... I would have quite liked to have had a quiet day in, sewing or knitting a jumper in my room at the Guilded Rose but I couldn't resist the urge to go out questing ;)

I'd heard of spontaneous combustion before but this was ridiculous! Watch out guy your horse is on fire!

I used the Gryphon to fly to Menthil Harbour in Wetlands I had to find an ingot in a crate onboard the wreck of a ship called the 'Flying Osprey' Unfortunately the old boat was crawling with Murlocs as was the water and the banks. The Murlocs all threw daggers as well so I had to hit each one hard and fast - but it was no trouble! I got 1 ingot from the crate but the Murlocs had stolen the rest so I had to hunt down the perpetrators to recover the stolen items!

I met Sweed in Duskwood and we killed NightBane Worden's for awhile looking for heavy leather for Sweed. It was pretty easy even against three Worden's at once :)

We met Sooper and talked while standing on the fountain in Darkshire. Sweed duelled some guy in the town square and I thunderclapped his opponent causing an upset reaction ;) Sweed won!

We went to Sven's camp to start the Morbent Fei quest - Morbent is a Wizard who is surrounded by a lot of monsters of his own making. We got Morbent's bane to remove his protection enhancement but then found that as we all used two-handed weapons no one could fight and carry it at the same time. Just when it was looking like I would have to fight the wizard with my small skinning knife a Night Elf (Logist) and a Dranei showed up - they carried the bane and we fought - Morbent was beaten and much more easily than expected ;) Hooray!

I got a new Blue Cloak - not as good in armour as my others but more attractive ;)

I must remember to learn some new skills like First Aid, Cooking and Fishing - everyone else seems to find them useful and the First Aid could certainly be :)

Soop, Sweed and I killed Plague Spreaders and Night Raiders in the Raven Hill Cemetary Catacombs and found a secret passage that extended the area - at the end of the catacombs.

I levelled up :) Ding Ding Ding Level 34 :)

We flew to Menthil Habour in Wetlands. We ran to Thandol Span - the bridge that crosses onto the second Alliance island :) We killed a bad dwarf who was in a bridge turret, destroyed a shipment of explosives and discovered the Arathi Highlands refugee point (and a new instance)and flight path!
I always wanted to see Stone Henge!

We went to Stormgarde Keep looking for a First Aid Quest for Sweed and Sooper. It was going ok until we jumped over a wall and ran into a lvl 40 Ogre. We almost killed him but alot of other baddies also attacked and we all died. We had trouble getting out of Stormgarde Keep's dangerous area and died over and over. The first aid quest was completed though.

Soop and I played hide and seek and hide from Sweed thinking he wouldn't find us. But he was on to us very fast and soon discovered our hiding places :( It was fun to hide from Sweed!

Sweed went to sleep and I continued towards Southshore with Soop. We killed Raptors, Spiders and Buzzards for XP. When we reached Southshore Soop went to sleep in the Inn.

I went north through the Hillsbrad Foothills and over to Dalaran (where there is a huge hemisphere that sparkles purple - it appears to be expanding and eating up a town!) I ran to Lordamere Lake and started to kill SnapJaw Turtles to make Turtle Soup :) It took a long time as the drop rate was low but I got it - I also got a nice powerful new gun ;) I bought some soothing spices for the turtle recipe and returned the ingredients to complete the quest.

Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me!

I had a steaming hot bowl of turtle soup and then returned to the Guilded Rose in Stormwind - got ripped off a bit by a rogue called 'Strew' who opened my four locked bronze boxes for 45 silver but such is life in the World of Warcraft for the unwary ;) He was in the guild too!

Sleep time 2:30am - can't wait to quest tommorrow!

Time Questing: 6 1/2 hours

Day 4: 24_02_07

My adventures continue... It has been quite a day!

I heard from my guild that there was going to be a raid on the horde! I arrived just in time!

We all flew to South Shore and then ran towards Tarren Mill but after that I wasn't sure where we went! We encountered some big bat things and loads of baddies and I died instantly LOL I think from shock not from an actual strike ;)

We all regrouped and started running battles with the horde. I managed to assist in 4 kills but I spent more time dead than alive! Eventually I had to hearth out to SW as things had turned pear-shaped!

After the raid PaulDavid was asking if anyone wanted to go to the Scarlet Monastry! Well I really wanted to go there to see the Ninja Monks and so myself and Sweed joined Paul and also Morello.

We also asked Gogu to join us, it has been many weeks since I have seen him. Gogu now has a horse and a great one at that :) Hooray!

We ran to the Scarlet Monastry - it looked a little scary from the outside.

We worked hard inside SM for a few hours in the Library and the Armoury. We killed the boss in the Library (although I did die in the process!) and we almost killed the boss in the Armoury - only a fraction of his health left :( We all died but it was fun to see the boss using his spinning sword - I thought that we were trying to kill Vladh from the guild ;)

I went to work on a warrior quest in Redridge Mountains which involved drunkenly running through the Rethban Caves full of Gnolls - it had a time limit of 1 hour but I did it in 3 minutes (not including the 10 drunken minutes!) Gnolls aren't a challenge anymore and no XP :(

I killed Stalvan and got his ring! 1400XP and finished my day by killing Young Wetlands Crocolisks near Menthil harbour for Sooper who wanted 8 pieces of Light Leather for something or other ;)

Sweed was practising fishing in SW. I hope that he still doesn't stink of fish tommorrow!

Time Finished: 12am

Questing Time: 6 1/2 hrs

Day 3: 23_02_07

Lots to tell you about my day.

Woke up in the Guilded Rose - the bedsheets are so soft - I think they must use fabric softener!

Fly to South Shore and began killing Yeti's - 400 XP per Yeti (hooray!) One at a time - i died when I fought two at once. XP eventually decreased to 250 per Yeti!

Then I went to kill mountain lions (8) and hulking mountain lions (10) - they didn't stand a chance ;) I saw a dwarf area called 'Storm Pike' I think the Dwarves are trying to steal the SW name - watch out for copyright little fellas ;)

Sweed and Sooper came online - We joined Sooper's dwarf group with little dwarves Daliin and Olin (sound and look like twins!) I can't tell dwarves apart myself ;)

The dwarves settled down sort of patiently for Sweed to arrive from MoonGlade! Then we rushed to Gnomeragan and summoned Sweed through the Summoning Stone and we were ready to enter :) With three trigger happy Dwarves around we were in for an action packed instance!

At the central gear in the Hall of Gears Daliin fell to his death!!! Sweed couldn't ress him from all the way down there! We encountered an alarm bot - we got mobbed and we all died! We finished in Gnomeragan by killing some oozes and then the Dwarves got sleepy and went to bed including Sweed.

I hearthed to SW and needed to buy a bolt of woolen cloth - I lost my auction bid and the shops were empty of the stuff. I bumped into Dectye in the bank and he helped me out! Hooray! Dectye helped too by enchanting my armour :)

I took Dectye to Menthil Harbour in Wetlands and then we ran to South Shore to get him a flight path for there. I flew back to Menthil as now MageDranei wanted to go to South Shore too. It took about an hour to run them both there! We got killed on the road by a pack of horde!

I stayed in South Shore and went back to the Yeti's - if they weren't already close to extinction they would be now! I ground out the XP on the Yeti's up to Level 33.

Ding Ding Ding Lvl 33 - Hooray!

I hearthed back to SW and Swiff was near the auction house - he enchanted some of my armour and sword.

Back to the Guilded Rose to sleep.

Finished: 3:30am

Questing Time: 7 hours

Friday, 23 February 2007

Day 2: 22_02_07

Starting at the 'Guilded Rose' I used the bank for a while to empty my bags. Then I took a gryphon to South Shore. It is a long trip as it is the furthest flight path that I have from StormWind City. I wanted to try to complete the Yeti Fur Quest but I couldn't find the yetis LOL. I ended up in Dalaran and making small kills in the local area. I killed bears and spiders for pretty good XP (200+) After about an hour or so I levelled up to Level 32. Hooray...! Ding Ding Ding lvl 32 :)

This is the spider that I killed that tipped me over into Level 32

Sooper and Sweed came online and we tried to form a group to do Gnomeragan. We got the help of a high level priest Arafel and a high level warrior Bryon (with an armoured horse mount). We
flew to IronForge and then ran to Gnomeragan through the snow.

Here is a picture of Iron Forge from the Gryphon

We used the summoning stone to bring Arafel to Gnomeragan

We all had many quests inside Gnomeragan but we focused on Robo Mechanical Guts and Technobots Brain. We got Technobot's brain quite easily but it took a few hours to gather the 24 guts that were needed. We advanced through Gnomeragan through Clockwerk Run into the Dormitory and the Hall of Gears. We saw some Gnome Planes. Unfortunately there was an alarm bot and then suddenly a huge number of mobs and everyone died!!!

When we were back in the instance Bryon departed. We continued with Arafel. We found a side passage and did a quest activation to kill troggs. It was quite a fun one to do.

Outside the instance in the beginning of Gnomeragan we were still looking for guts. Sooper has his PVP switched on and so when a group of Horde players saw him they killed him, the rest of us ran back into the instance with the Horde players chasing us and escaped. We then came out and Sweed ressurected Sooper.

After we completed two quests in Gnomeragan we ran back to Ironforge and took the tram back to StormWind - it took me three attempts to get on the tram - I kept missing it - too slow!

We all took a well earned rest when we reached StormWind on the Deep Run Tram platform!

We went to the Lunar festival in the Park. I ended up using a teleportation device to reach the Elven city of Darnassus - a wonderful place, where I learnt my bow skills!

Some views of Darnassus

I flew on a large wierd green and blue bird to the Elven port city of Auberdine and met Sweed who had taken the boat there - Sooper was asleep in the inn in a druken stupor by now!

We tried to reach Moonglade over the mountains and failed.

Back to Stormwind to sleep.

Time Finished: 2am
Questing time total: 5 1/2 hrs
